The latest Ukrainian-German project started under the framework of
program for supporting the “green” modernization of the Ukrainian economy
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Employers Organization as part of the Federation of Employers Organizations of Dnipropetrovsk region in cooperation with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Investment Agency – on the Ukrainian side, and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) – on the German side, agreed to join their efforts in order to implement ”Green Solutions” for business – Unity for Sustainable Development” project, within the framework of the current Memorandum of Cooperation. The participants of the project will be business entities, students, population of Dnipropetrovsk region.
At the first stage of the project it is planned to create a sectorial “green” enterprises database of Dnipropetrovsk region, who is using in their work “green” technologies, developing, producing them, importing or exporting them.
Also it is planned to create the club of leading companies in “green economy” of Dnipropetrovsk region, that are actively introducing the environmentally friendly and resource-saving production, technology and equipment.
The contests of “green technologies and green innovations” will be held, including a range of nominations at the following spheres: renewable sources of energy, waste disposal and separately at the agricultural sphere and other topical nominations.
We will introduce such notion as “Green life Ambassadors”. There will be regional representatives who are acting as bearers of the values of the “green economy”.
The project started on April 20, 2017 and will be lasting for a year. First founding meetings were held in 25-28 of April with enterprises – members of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Employers Organization, sectorial and territorial organizations of employers that are a part of Federation of Employers Organizations of Dnipropetrovsk region, scientific organizations of the region.
As the result of round table meetings that were dedicated to the start of project ”Green Solutions” for business – Unity for Sustainable Development” is positive feedbacks from business entities, students, population of Dnipropetrovsk region.
This project has a deep importance for Dnipropetrovsk region, it is promoting and spreading careful attitude to environment and conservation of natural resources.
